• Fixes shell commands left running on macOS and Linux when Claude Code exits by itself.
• Fixes network requests hanging on cut-off compressed responses.

Fast mode for Claude Opus 4.8 deprecated (Oct 30)

Deprecates fast mode on claude-opus-4-8, with removal on Nov 30, 2026. After removal, requests with speed: "fast" return an error and do not fall back. The notes direct users to migrate to Claude Opus 5.5.
