Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion (beta) (Oct 8)

Launches Claude Dashboards, which builds and keeps live dashboards current from plain-language questions against warehouses like BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake and ClickHouse (Pro/Max/Team/Enterprise), and Claude Motion, which turns text and charts into editable, code-driven animations exported as MP4 (Team/Enterprise only). 2026 Usage Policy update (Oct 8)

Prohibits sustained abusive or cruel behavior toward Claude with no discernible purpose (ordinary frustration, pushback, and research testing are exempt), clarifies rules for longer autonomous agent work and physical actions, consolidates a "no deceptive campaigns or artificial activity" section, and tightens high-risk-use requirements for health/finance. Takes effect Nov 12.

Anthropic Cyber Mission (Oct 8)

Launches a long-term cybersecurity initiative with two tracks: the Critical Infrastructure Defense Program, partnering with Accenture, CrowdStrike, Dragos and Palo Alto Networks to protect power/water/transport OT systems, and OSS Scanner, a free opt-in service that runs Anthropic's strongest models against open-source projects for vulnerability scans, PoCs, and fixes. Builds on, and is distinct from, the Oct 6 Cyber Verification Program expansion.

Genesis Mission commitment (Oct 8)
